Visceral pleural lesions in primary lung cancer were studied histopathologically in 102 autopsy cases. Pleural carcinomatosis was defined as the presence of cancer cells in the visceral pleura and/or pleural space. Kaposiform hemangioendothelioma (KH) is a rare tumor of childhood often associated with Kasabach-Merritt phenomenon (KMP) and occasionally lymphangiomatosis. A typical case of intranodal myofibroblastoma arising in a submandibular lymph node is reported. It provides proof that this tumor can occur in extrainguinal regions and suggests that the submandibular region is a prevalent site. The combination of benign spindle cells and foci of pale fibrillary matrix and hemosiderin granules were characteristic features in the fine-needle aspiration cytologic findings.

The rare case of a cystic lymphangioma is described in an elderly patient. Most of these tumors occur in patients under the age of five. The intraabdominal localisation is also rare, here the common localisation is the mesentery and in only 5% the retroperitoneum. The woman lived for 11 years after clinical manifestation of the lymphangioma. We give a brief review of the literature.

BACKGROUND: Liposarcoma in subcutaneous location is rare, and dedifferentiation is extremely rare.
CASE: A 65-year-old woman presented with a mass in the upper back of 13 years' duration with a recent history of increase in size. Fine needle aspiration cytology of the mass and axillary lymph nodes showed pleomorphic cells and lipoblasts. Cytologic diagnosis of dedifferentiated liposarcoma was done and was later confirmed on histopathology.
CONCLUSION: Diagnosis of dedifferentiated liposarcoma can be attempted on fine needle aspiration cytology smears.

Kaposiform hemangioendothelioma (KHE) is a rare vascular neoplasm that previously has been described only in children. We report three cases occurring in adults. The patients, two men and one woman, were aged 64, 55, and 48 years, respectively.
