Organophosphorus inhibitors (OP) of acetylcholinesterase (AChE) represent a group of highly toxic compounds. The treatment of OP intoxication is, however, insufficiently ensured. Currently, two main categories of drugs-anticholinergics and oxime reactivators- are employed as antidotes. AIM: Behçet's disease (BD) is a multisystem disorder that is characterized by vasculitis, and consists of a triad of recurrent ulcers of the oral and genital mucosa with relapsing uveitis. The prevalence of pulmonary involvement varies in the range of 1-10% in various studies, and its complications are severe and life threatening. We report our initial experience with technetium-99m hexamethyl propylene amine oxime (99mTC-HMPAO) brain single photon emission tomography (SPET) in the investigation of 19 children presenting with febrile convulsions. Two patients with complex febrile convulsions showed focal SPET lesions contralateral to the neurological deficit. The synthesis of (+)-1,7,7-trimethylbicyclo[2.2.1]heptan-2-one O-[omega-(dialkylamino)alkyl]oximes by reaction of (+)-camphoroxime sodium salt with a series of omega-(chloroalkyl)dialkylamines in DMF solution is described. Some of the above compounds showed strong hypotensive, antiinflammatory, analgesic and local anesthetic activity in rats and mice, as well as moderate antiarrhythmic, antipyretic and in vitro platelet antiaggregating activity.

A photoredox-catalyzed intermolecular dearomative hydrocyanoalkylation of indoles with oxime esters has been developed, providing efficient access to a range of functionalized indolines in moderate to good yields. Notably, both four- and five-membered cyclic ketone oximes were compatible with this reaction. Remarkably, the practicality of this method is reflected in its broad substrate scope, good functional group compatibility, and mild reaction conditions.

A photoinduced, copper-catalyzed three-component radical cross-coupling of cycloketone oxime esters, alkenes, and terminal alkynes is described for the first time. Key to the success of this process was the integration of photoinduced iminyl radical-mediated C-C bond cleavage with the conceptual simplicity of copper-catalyzed radical cross-coupling.
