Urban mobility resilience and spatial-temporal equity under public health crises: longitudinal evidence from China's ride-hailing sector (2019-2024).

Introduction of Heat-Stable Carbetocin for Postpartum Hemorrhage Prevention in Public Sector Hospitals in Kenya: Provider Experience and Policy Insights.

BACKGROUND AND OBJECTIVE: In Kenya, the leading cause of maternal deaths is obstetric hemorrhage (39.5%), with postpartum hemorrhage (PPH) accounting for 50% with quality of uterotonics as one of the biggest challenges. The World Health Organization (WHO) in 2018 included heat-stable carbetocin (HSC) for the prevention of PPH in settings where the quality of oxytocin cannot be guaranteed. Maintenance of the cold chain for uterotonics is a challenge. HSC does not require refrigeration, reducing pressure on the fragile cold chain infrastructure. The main objective was to understand PPH preventio

Diffuse Large B-Cell Lymphoma in the Public-Sector of Johannesburg, South Africa, in the Era of Widescale Antiretroviral Therapy Use.

BACKGROUND: Diffuse large B-cell lymphoma (DLBCL) is a high-grade non-Hodgkin lymphoma with increased incidence among people living with HIV-infection (PLWH). Although its frequency is reportedly attenuated by antiretroviral therapy (ART), we have previously shown a similar rate of DLBCL in the post-ART era (2017) in Johannesburg, South Africa compared with that observed when ART had only limited availability in the South Africa state-sector (2007). Here, we present a more detailed analysis of DLBCL in the pre-and post-ART eras in Johannesburg. METHODS AND RESULTS: All cases of DLBCL diagnose

Time series study of the sales of non-subsidised contraceptives in Kenya at times of public sector shortage: implications for future sustainability.

This paper describes volume trends of non-subsidised contraceptive commodities (NSCC) in Kenya between 2016-2019. We hypothesise that if non-subsidised contraceptive commodities volumes increased at times of public sector shortage then then we might hope for a similar response should public sector supplies reduce in response to an expected decline in donor funding. We find that non-subsidised contraceptive commodities contribute only 2% of total volume, and that these volumes are dominated by emergency contraceptives (EC) and combined oral contraceptives (COC). EC and COC volumes increased sig
