BACKGROUND: Glomus tumours are neoplasms arising from cells of the neuromyoarterial glomus bodies, which almost always occur in a subungual location. A lung location is extremely rare, with few cases reported in the literature.

INTRODUCTION: Leiomyosarcomas are neoplasms of smooth muscles that most commonly arise from the uterus, gastrointestinal tract, or soft tissue. Primary pleural leiomyosarcoma is extremely rare. To the best of our knowledge, only nine cases have been published to date. A population of 10,173 men, employed in 37 plants, was identified as having worked for at least one year in jobs involving probable exposure to vinyl chloride monomer (VCM) prior to January 1, 1973. Colorectal cancer is the third most common cancer globally and nearly one fourth of distant metastases are found at the time of the primary diagnosis. Synchronous metastasis of colorectal cancer to the palatine tonsil is rare. To date, only 5 cases have been published in the English literature.
