We evaluated three diagnostic antigens (recombinant GP50, recombinant T24H, and synthetic Ts18var1) for cysticercosis and found that all three performed well in detecting cysticercosis in humans and pigs in several assay formats. The potential of Light Scattering Immunoassay (LIA) for detection of HIV in human blood serum has been explored by monitoring the agglutination of antigen coated polystyrene particles by dynamic light scattering. ELISA tested human sera having HIV, TB, Filaria along with normal sera have been analyzed using two specific synthetic peptide antigen (SP1, SP2) and one nonspecific peptide antigen (NSP). The serological response induced by Brucella abortus strain 19 was evaluated in 52 Holstein females from a brucellosis-free herd using seven serological tests. Each calf was vaccinated at an age of 4 and 8 months old with 3 x 10(10) CFU B. abortus S19 and the antibody response was determined as the proportion of positive results to each test.
