OBJECTIVE: this study examined factors associated with symptoms of post-traumatic stress (PTS) following childbirth in women with normal, low-risk pregnancies in Nigde, Turkey.
DESIGN: a prospective longitudinal design where women completed questionnaire measures at 20+ weeks' gestation and 6-8 weeks after birth.
SETTING: eligible pregnant women were recruited from nine family healthcare centres in Nigde between September 2013 and July 2014.
PARTICIPANTS: a total of 242 women completed questionnaires at both time points.

The use of the psychophysiological complex PFK-01 permits the psychoemotional status to be examined in patients who underwent replantation of a segment of the upper limb after traumatic amputation. The method makes it possible to establish what kind of the psychic stage, tension or depression, is experienced by the examined patient. The objective of this paper is to explore mothers' psychological adaptation related to separation from their newborn children immediately after birth. Mother and child separation has traditionally received attention from the child's perspective, but given that the bond is dyadic, the mother's wellbeing should also be considered. This qualitative study is based on interview data with mothers of premature infants. From the analysis, three themes emerged: concerns during pregnancy about premature birth; emotional strain caused by separation; and the need to protect and to be close to the newborn.

INTRODUCTION: This study aimed to translate the Skarzynski Tinnitus Scale (STS) into Arabic, conduct a cross-cultural adaptation, and validate its psychometric properties.
