PURPOSE: To evaluate the efficacy of superficial keratectomy and conjunctival advancement hood flap (SKCAHF) for the treatment of bullous keratopathy in canine patients.
METHODS: Nine dogs (12 eyes) diagnosed with progressive corneal edema underwent superficial keratectomy followed by placement of conjunctival advancement hood flaps. The canine patients were examined pre- and postoperatively using in vivo confocal microscopy, ultrasonic pachymetry (USP), and Fourier-domain optical coherence tomography (FD-OCT). PURPOSE: To describe bilateral conjunctival chemosis and central serous chorioretinopathy in a patient with graft-vs-host disease after bone marrow transplant.
DESIGN: Interventional case report.
METHODS: A 45-year-old Chinese woman developed blurring of vision 16 days after bone marrow transplant for multiple myeloma. She had graft-vs-host disease 11 days after bone marrow transplantation. BACKGROUND: To investigate the incidence, risk factors and survival of conjunctival acute graft-versus-host disease (aGVHD) in adult patients undergoing allogeneic hematopoietic stem cell transplantation (HSCT).
METHODS: This retrospective study included a total of 139 patients undergoing allogeneic HSCT between January 2012 and December 2014 at a tertiary referral hospital. PURPOSE: To investigate parameters of ocular surface disease in C57BL/6.NOD-Aec1Aec2 (Aec) mice with aging and their correlation with development of Sjögren syndrome (SS)-like lacrimal gland (LG) disease.
METHODS: Aec and C57BL/6 wild-type (B6) female mice were evaluated at 4, 12, and 20 weeks of age. Whole LG and eyes and adnexa were excised for histology and gene expression analysis and evaluated by flow cytometry and immunohistochemistry. Tear volume and goblet cell density was measured. Quantitative PCR evaluated T-cell-related cytokine expression in cornea and conjunctiva.

A 62 year old woman diagnosed with Ménière's disease, who underwent vairechanika nasya (VN) with shadbindu taila presented with short-lasting unilateral neuralgiform headache attacks with conjunctival injection and tearing (SUNCT) like phenomena immediately after the procedure.
