The combination of lower genital tract carcinomas with genitourinary malformations is a rare occurrence. The purpose of this report is to describe the case of high-grade cervical dysplasia of the left cervix of a woman with a uterine didelphys and additional urinary tract malformations.

During the development of the female genital tract, any insult to the normal development process results in a set of intriguing abnormalities known as Müllerian duct abnormalities. The uterine didelphys is the second least common type of anomaly among these, which may commonly be associated with a longitudinal vaginal septum (lateral fusion defect). A 14-year-old girl presented with increasing cyclical pain, scanty menses, pelvic mass and absence of the left kidney. With both radiological and clinical examinations (examination under anaesthesia), diagnosis of bicornuate uterus with single cervix could be made while on laparotomy, and it turned out to be uterine didelphys, with one cervix obscured by blind hemivagina with haematometra and haematocolpos in the left horn, for which hemihysterectomy was done. Post procedure the patient was relieved of cyclical pain and is menstruating properly.

BACKGROUND: Isolated uterine didelphys requires no treatment in contrast to cervical agenesis, which requires a hysterectomy. Because of this, correct diagnosis of Müllerian anomalies is paramount for making recommendations for patient care.
CASE: A 15-year-old girl presented to clinic with pelvic pain and primary amenorrhea. Uterine didelphys with bilateral cervical agenesis was diagnosed using imaging. Hysterectomy was recommended and diagnosis was confirmed at surgery and according to anatomic pathology.

Unicornuate uterus and uterus didelphys consist of miscellaneous congenital malformations of the female genital system. These anomalies can cause many gynecological and obstetrical complications including infertility, ectopic pregnancy, recurrent abortions and preterm deliveries. Laparoscopy and hysteroscopy are two helpful operative procedures in establishing an accurate diagnosis and treating effectively. A case of a patient with unicornuate uterus and longitudinal vaginal septum, who presented at our hospital suffering from infertility, is reported.

A rare condition, complete or incomplete duplication of uterus and cervix with unilateral vaginal obstruction, is usually associated with ipsilateral renal agenesis. In such kinds of Müllerian and Wolffian duct anomalies as the one reported here with accumulation of menstrual blood in the obstructed vagina, the patient usually complains of a pelvic mass and associated severe and increasing dysmenorrhea. A case, diagnosed and treated at our Department, is presented.

Reported herein is the case of a 30-year-old white woman who had a congenitally double uterus with two cervixes (uterus didelphys). Each cervix was diffusely involved by squamous cell carcinoma in situ that had progressed to a microinvasive stage of the same depth (0.8 mm) on each side. This coincidence was the more remarkable because it had taken place synchronously. A transmissible coital factor of a viral nature, ie, human papillomavirus infection, was suggested by the presence of koilocytotic atypia in both uterine cervixes.

Small populations of Virginia opossum (Didelphis virginiana) in western Mexico are endangered by hunting and natural predators as well as by different kinds of diseases. After two serological analyses using Serodia® latex particle agglutination and indirect haemagglutination (IHA) tests, 35 (53.03%) of 66 collected opossums in two small towns in western Mexico were positive for the presence of Trypanosoma cruzi.
