Premature Ejaculation (PE) is a very common and disturbing sexual dysfunction in men. Currently available treatment modalities are associated with limited efficacy and low treatment adherence. In this prospective, single-blinded, self-controlled study, we evaluated the efficacy and safety of transcutaneous electrical stimulation (TES) for the treatment of (PE). BACKGROUND: To assess the ejaculatory disorder caused by silodosin in the prostatic hyperplasia patients who carry out sexual actions (sexual intercourse, masturbation).
METHOD: The subjects of this study were 91 patients who had been clinically diagnosed to have LUTS/BPH at this hospital, who were administered silodosin at 4 mg twice a day, and who gave response to a questionnaire survey related to ejaculatory disorder. Sexual intercourse and masturbation were regarded as sexual actions in this study.

This was a cross-sectional study to examine the different associations of age and sleep duration with sex steroid hormones and sexual activities in 531 Asian Chinese men aged between 29 and 72 years old. Sleep duration and sexual activities were evaluated through a self-administered questionnaire, and total testosterone (T), sex hormone-binding globulin (SHBG), estradiol (E2), and dehydroepiandrosterone sulfate (DHEAS) were measured by established immunoassay methods in a single blood sample collected between 8:00 and 11:00 am. Bioavailable T (BioT) was calculated using the Vermeulen formula.

An unusual case of transsexualism is presented involving an elderly male who had been happily married for 37 years. Sexual history was entirely heterosexual, with a low rate of fetishistic masturbation. Lifelong weak fantasies of becoming a woman were reported but did not lead to transvestic behavior until 10 years after the death of his wife. Social variables, role models, and other external influences are discussed that seem to have contributed to his transsexual "choice" at age 74.

PURPOSE OF REVIEW: Adolescence is a time of self-discovery and physical, as well as cognitive, development. It is within this context that adolescent sexual development and sexual behavior occur. While curiosity and experimentation are normal, sexual behaviors, both coital and non-coital, place adolescents at risk for undesired consequences including sexually transmitted disease acquisition and pregnancy. Trends in adolescent sexual behavior are changing, and health care professionals must be aware of these trends to provide necessary medical care and education to this population.
