A 26-year-old female sulfur-crested cockatoo (Cacatua galerita) was evaluated for vocalizing through the night and extending her right wing. Extraosseous osteosarcoma is a rare malignant tumor, most commonly occurring in the thigh, upper limbs, and retroperitoneum. However, there are only a few reported cases of renal osteosarcoma. Herein, we present the case of a 54-year-old woman with malignant extraosseous osteosarcoma of the left kidney. CT and MR imaging revealed a soft tissue mass originating from the left kidney.

Aims To investigate whether pathological fractures impact on osteosarcoma patient prognosis in Ireland. Methods This was a retrospective study over 22 years in a National Orthopaedic Oncology Centre. There were 117 nonfracture cases and 15 fracture cases. Outcome measures included 5 and 10 year event-free (EFS) and overall survival (OS). Osteogenic sarcoma of the hand is very rare and fewer than 50 cases have been reported. There are only 2 previously reported cases of parosteal osteosarcoma involving the phalanges. We report a primary parosteal osteosarcoma involving the proximal phalanx of the right middle finger in a 20-year-old woman, which was managed by ray amputation. There was no evidence of local recurrence or systemic metastasis in the postoperative follow-up period of 2 years.

Osteosarcoma (OSA) is a malignant heterogeneous primary bone tumor responsible for up to 90% of all primary bone tumors in dogs. Charcot's arthropathy or neuropathic osteoarthropathy is a form of destructive arthropathy associated with decreased sensory innervation. We present an unusual case of a patient referred to oncology clinic for further evaluation of a spindle cell neoplasm of the humerus concerning for malignancy. The mass presented as a lytic lesion associated with a right humerus fracture. This was later diagnosed as Charcot's shoulder secondary to cervical syringomyelia. Primary cardiac extrasceletal osteosarcomas are uncommon tumours. They have aggressive behaviour and thus poor prognosis. This report describes a 40-year old female patient who was referred to our hospital with dyspnoea, weakness and syncopal attacks. Echocardiography and chest computed tomography showed a left atrial mass, and tumour excision revealed a cardiac chondroblastic osteosarcoma. After pathological diagnosis, she was scheduled for chemotherapy and radiotherapy by the related departments.
