Acute pulmonary schistosomiasis affects non-immune individuals returning from endemic areas. Pathogenesis is not well understood. We report a case of acute pulmonary schistosomiasis in which lung biopsy was done 10 weeks after exposure and it identified the presence of schistosomal ovum surrounded by granuloma.

Oestrogens increase uterine secretion rate, contractility of tubal and uterine muscle, and closure of the isthmo-ampullar and uterotubal junctions. A case of ectopic vaginal trophoblast in association with a blighted ovum showing hydropic degeneration is presented. This combination satisfied the histological criteria of Szulman and Surti for inclusion as a partial mole. Subsequent follow-up revealed non-progression of the condition. The problems of obtaining a satisfactory classification for proliferative trophoblastic lesions are outlined.

OBJECTIVE: To examine the effects of fibroid uterus on pregnancy outcomes and endometrial features in ovum donation recipients.
METHODS: Retrospective analysis of 744 ovum donation cycles was conducted in two private IVF centers between 2005 and 2012. All the recipients underwent transvaginal ultrasound examination, including endometrial thickness and grade measurements.
