In Japan, some measles outbreaks were initiated by a tourist from oversea and foreign workers recently. Moreover, rubella outbreak emerged since July 2018 mainly in the South Kanto, and the outbreak is currently ongoing in 2019. It is important to maintain a high measles-rubella combined vaccine (MR) coverage for measles-rubella control. Vaccination coverage for the second dose of MR (MR2) is 90.8% in Tokyo in 2016, which was the third worst among all prefectures in Japan. The purpose of this study was to clarify determinant factors of vaccination coverage for MR2 in Tokyo. Data were obtained

(1) Background: In 2022, monkeypox (Mpox) was declared a public health emergency. The European Medicines Agency has authorized the use of Imvanex/Jynneos, a smallpox vaccine, for coverage against pox. Healthcare workers (HCWs) are all considered by the European Centre for Disease Prevention and Control to be at risk, but in Italy, vaccination was offered only to laboratory personnel. The present study aims to investigate smallpox vaccination coverage (VC) that provides protection against Mpox among HCWs in an Italian university hospital and to assess HCWs' attitudes towards the possibility of

Physical activity is fundamental for health. However, it could expose even young and healthy individuals to infections which can be prevented through vaccinations. We aimed to evaluate the vaccination status in a population of adolescent athletes, to identify possible sex-related differences, and the role of comorbidities on the immunization of athletes. We applied a questionnaire-based survey, carried out among competitive adolescent athletes undergoing medical checkups. The coverage rate is over 98% for MMR vaccination, 13.4% for influenza vaccination, and 8.7% for Men B vaccination. Age was

This is a quasi-experimental study that assessed PLHIV vaccination coverage before and after health professionals participated in a training course on PLHIV immunization. The vaccination coverage of 645 PLHIV was assessed in the pre-intervention phase. The vaccine with the best coverage was diphtheria and tetanus (82.64%) and the one with the lowest rate of adequately vaccinated was measles, mumps, and rubella (38.27%). Individuals aged between 30 and 39 years had a 74.00% (1-0.26) lower chance of having the full vaccination schedule when compared to those aged between 10 and 19 years, and amo

Children with onco-hematological diseases are at increased risk of infection. However, this risk can in part be controlled or reduced using currently available vaccines. Despite available evidence, in patients diagnosed with a hematological or oncological disease the vaccination schedule is often inappropriately discontinued. In this study we evaluated whether the diagnosis of an oncological or hematological disease is a determinant of noncompliance with recommended vaccinations. The study was carried out between March and April 2019. The population was composed of a convenience sample of 228 c
