BACKGROUND: Cancer survivors may continue to experience psychosocial and physical needs related to their cancer experience for many years after treatment. The specification of these needs across cancer types and by survivor characteristics may lead to better prevention approaches and clinical responses. Mixed methods were used to examine responses to an open-ended question about current unmet needs from a survey of 2-, 5-, and 10-year cancer survivors.

Native Hawaiian women have increased incidence and mortality breast cancer rates compared with other ethnic groups in Hawaii. OBJECTIVE: To describe a conservative cesarean scar pregnancy (CSP) treatment in a patient with the desire for future pregnancy. To date, there is no gold standard for the management of a viable CSP. There is a wide range of treatment options that include major surgery and minimally invasive procedures. Moreover, after a minimally invasive treatment, the gestational sac may be visible at ultrasound for >6 months. STUDY OBJECTIVE: To demonstrate the surgical techniques for improving safety in robotic-assisted abdominal cerclage via broad ligament window dissection.
DESIGN: Stepwise demonstration with narrated video footage.
SETTING: An academic tertiary care hospital. Our patient is a 32-year-old G8P2143, with a history of pregnancy loss at 19 and 23 weeks and 1 failed vaginal cerclage, presented to us at 13 weeks and 5 days for abdominal cerclage. We have completed a total of 5 successful procedures with this technique on pregnant patients ranging from 9 to 14 weeks.

OBJECTIVE: To qualitatively assess the burden of uterine fibroids on women's emotional health.
METHODS: Sixty women (n = 60) with symptomatic uterine fibroids were recruited from an urban academic medical center and community-based organizations. Women completed qualitative, semi-structured interviews and demographic surveys. Interviews were recorded and transcribed verbatim. Using a grounded theory approach, three coders independently identified major themes and subthemes that emerged from the interviews.
RESULTS: The kappa among coders was 0.94. The mean age of participants was 43.0 ± 6.8.
