A 15-year-old patient developed scleroderma en coup de sabre on right temple at 5 years of age. Multiple treatments (3 cycles of intravenous penicillin, topical glucocorticosteroids, topical calcipotriol, and cream PUVA phototherapy combined with topical calcipotriol) produced no improvement. BACKGROUND: Most of the available documentation in the literature on ocular involvement in localised scleroderma (LS) are descriptions of single cases in adult patients. This article reports the frequency and specific features of ocular involvement in a large cohort of children with juvenile LS (JLS).

PURPOSE AND METHODS: In this retrospective non-randomized study the results of the FELDER technique (n = 29) were compared to two endoscopic techniques for ligation of incompetent perforating veins: using a mediastinoscope (n = 19) and laparoscopic instruments (n = 57). A 57-year-old woman who had undergone lumpectomy for infiltrating duct-cell carcinoma of the right breast was found to have morphea after receiving radiation therapy. Three years later she developed a vesicular eruption on the area of the morphea, which was diagnosed as bullous morphea. The histologic findings of the vesicular component were characteristic of lichen sclerosus et atrophicus. It is suggested that in some cases bullous morphea represents a secondary appearance of bullous lichen sclerosus et atrophicus on a lesion of morphea.

Nine cases of different types of morphea and two of lichen sclerosus et atrophicus were investigated for the presence of neurologic symptoms. OBJECTIVE: This study evaluated Neem oil and Hypericum perforatum (Holoil®) for treatment of scleroderma skin ulcers related to calcinosis (SU-calc).Procedure: We retrospectively analyzed 21 consecutive systemic sclerosis (SSc) patients with a total of 33 SU-calcs treated daily with Holoil® cream compared with a control group of 20 patients with 26 SU-calcs. Holoil® was directly applied to skin lesions, while the control group received only standard medication.

One hundred and seventy patients with rheumatological disease diagnosed before their 16th birthday and still on follow up were studied retrospectively. They were seen within the last 3 years at KK Women's and Children's Hospital, Tan Tock Seng Hospital, National Skin Centre or Singapore General Hospital.
