In this study, we present statistical analyses of pineal tumors based on the data from Brain Tumor Registry of Japan. The most frequent tumor in the pineal region was germinoma, and it accounted for 49.2% of all pineal tumors; it was followed by pineocytoma (8.5%), glioma (6.5%), pineoblastoma (5.1%), malignant teratoma (5.2%) and teratoma (5.1%). Germinoma is most frequent among patients between 10 and 19 years of age, and there are some patients aged >30 years; however, there are few patients with choriocarcinoma, embryonal carcinoma, and yolk sac tumor who are aged >30 years. Two hundred three testicular germ cell tumors were studied immunohistochemically for the presence of placental alkaline phosphatase (PLAP). In 28 patients with primary clinical stage II testicular carcinoma (retroperitoneal mass of less than 10 cm. in diameter) or persistently elevated levels of serum biomarkers after orchiectomy primary chemotherapy was administered followed by selective lymphadenectomy for patients with a persistent retroperitoneal mass. Cancers are thought to be rarer in younger population, but emerging data show an increasing incidence of these diseases. The aim of this study was to evaluate the clinicopathological characteristics of cancer among young patients (≥30 years) in Uyo, Nigeria. Germ cell neoplasia in situ (GCNIS) is the precursor of both seminomatous and non-seminomatous germ cell tumors. It consists of distended tubules that may have either intratubular seminoma or intratubular embryonal carcinoma cells. Many invasive non-seminomatous tumors contain a mixture of tumor types, which are reviewed here. Human term placenta and two human choriocarcinoma cell lines were studied immunohistochemically and by immunoblotting with monoclonal antibodies to keratin polypeptides and vimentin. Four keratin polypeptides (40, 45, 52, 54 K) were detected in both normal and malignant trophoblastic cells. The presence of the 54 K keratin polypeptide distinguishes the benign and malignant trophoblastic cells from human embryonal carcinoma cells and a yolk sac carcinoma cell line.

Between December 1986 and December 1988, the Italian Cooperative Group on AIDS-Related Tumours documented 49 HIV-related tumours other than malignant lymphomas (ML) and Kaposi's sarcomas (KS), predominantly among HIV-infected intravenous drug abusers (IVDA). BACKGROUND: Hepatic embryonal sarcoma (HES) is a rare but aggressive primary tumor of the liver occurring most frequently in childhood.
CASE PRESENTATION: We report a case of a 52 year old woman having previously undergone treatment for ovarian serous papillary carcinoma who subsequently presented with a large solitary mass in the liver. Initially this was presumed to be metastasis from the ovarian primary however, on further examination it was shown to be a primary hepatic embryonal sarcoma.

AIM: To analyse incidence, treatment and outcomes of paediatric liver malignancies in Finland during 1987-2017.
METHODS: Medical records and national cancer registry data of 47 children with liver malignancies were reviewed. Survival was calculated with the Kaplan-Meier method.

Metastatic tumors of the small bowel from extra-abdominal sites are rare. The primary tumors that have been reported are malignant melanoma, breast cancer, bronchogenic carcinoma, embryonal myosarcoma, and seminoma.
