We present the first case of peritoneal-cutaneous fistula (PCF) within ovarian carcinoma neoplastic infiltrates located inside a large abdominal hernia in a home hospice patient with massive ascites. It is an instructive case featuring a rapid diagnosis and efficient treatment of the PCF at home. As the patient refused hospitalization, she had successful paracentesis performed at home. Subsequent hydrocolloid dressing application, diuretics, and oral protein supplementation were recommended. The formation of an appendico-cutaneous fistula is rare. Few case reports have been published; most describe the formation of a fistula after appendicitis. Here we describe the case of a 79-year-old woman presenting with an appendico-cutaneous fistula after groin hernia repair. Acute appendicitis and its subsequent complications continue to pose a surgical challenge. One such complication, the appendico-cutaneous fistula, represents a very rare form of enterocutaneous fistula. Very few cases have been reported thus far in the literature. After a right nephrectomy of ischemic kidney, a high-output duodenal fistula developed on the third postoperative day. Sixteen days of total parenteral nutrition were unsuccessful, so octreotide (a synthetic analogue of somatostatin) was added (0.1 mg subcutaneously every 8 hours). The output decreased progressively and the fistula closed completely 9 days thereafter.

Vesico-cutaneous fistula is a rare complication following prostate cancer treatment, often involving a complex interplay between prior radiation and subsequent instrumentation. We present a case of a 71-year-old male presenting with acute medial thigh sepsis. Imaging revealed a vesico-cutaneous fistula tracking from a posterior-inferior bladder defect, through the pubic symphysis (causing osteomyelitis), and into the adductor compartment. Chest wall defects are an unusual complication of burn injury, generally seen after high-voltage electrical burns. Here we report the case of a 57-year-old man who developed costal chondritis and osteomyelitis 23 months after flame injury, which covered 50% of the total body surface area. Management included the resection of two ribs and coverage with an omental flap, overlaid by a split-thickness skin graft during the same surgical procedure.
