We describe a technique of rotational lamellar scleral flap for surgical repair in cases of posttrabeculectomy aqueous leak in patients with button holing or necrosis of the trabeculectomy flap. A rotational scleral flap is marked out from the sclera adjacent to the trabeculectomy site followed by a lamellar dissection to fashion the flap. Relaxing cuts are made at the base of the flap so as to ensure that the rotation flap adequately covers the site of aqueous leak. This flap is then secured to the underlying sclera and the cornea at the limbus.

A five-month-old female Shih-tzu puppy was presented for repair of congenital choristoma in left eye. The patient was suffered from chronic epiphora and ocular discharge during 3 months. On ophthalmic examination, left eye revealed hyperemia in conjunctiva of the temporal canthus due to choristoma with hair. At surgery, the choristoma invaded by stromal layer of the cornea, and extended to limbus and conjunctiva. Based on the anatomical location and histopathological features of the removed tissue, the choristoma was diagnosed as corneal dermoid.

Cystinosis is a rare autosomal recessive hereditary enzymopathy which leads to accumulation of cystine in the reticuloendothelial system of the liver, spleen, lymph nodes, etc. The pathognomonic alterations of the cornea are characterized by multiple crystalline deposits, chiefly in the limbus area and in the anterior corneal stroma. The retinal changes are seldom described in the literature; they are characterized by a fine-grained pigment shift which intensifies from the macula toward the preequator area and which gives the fundus a 'salt and pepper' appearance.

OBJECTIVE: To study the long-term changes at donor sites and safety implications for donor eyes used for harvesting tissue for autologous and living-related donor limbal transplants.
DESIGN: Retrospective, observational, consecutive case series.
PARTICIPANTS: We examined 50 donor sites of limbal tissue belonging to 25 healthy eyes (23 human subjects).
METHODS: The corneas and limbus of donor eyes were assessed for symptoms and visual acuity and examined by slit-lamp biomicroscopy and in vivo confocal microscopy with particular emphasis on the donor sites and central cornea.

Anterior segment tumors pose challenges in treatment due to their location and potential for globe loss. Squamous cell carcinoma of the cornea without involvement of the conjunctiva and limbus is a very rare condition. We report on a 68-year-old female patient. Lamellar keratectomy was performed combined with brachytherapy with strontium-90 for a total dose of 120 Gy (single daily dose: 10 Gy). Two months after treatment, a regression of neovascularization was noted. During 3.5 years of follow-up, no rubeosis of the iris, secondary glaucoma, or evidence of tumor recurrence was seen. There were no regional or distant metastases.

An unusual case of eyelashes being traumatically inserted into the corneal stroma is presented. A 75-year-old hit her right eye with her own fist, presenting with intra-corneal eyelashes. All remained entirely within the cornea, with no breach of the endothelium. They seemed to have tracked there first through the superior conjunctiva and then the superior limbus. The lashes were surgically removed, with good visual recovery. The authors present a short review of intra-ocular eyelash insertion.
