This study examines the laboratory aspects of diagnosis of coccidioidomycosis in 11 patients with acquired immunodeficiency syndrome (AIDS) and the qualitative and quantitative differences between host responses of AIDS and non-AIDS patients who died with disseminated coccidioidomycosis.
