The nutritional state of 168 patients in a medical clinic was determined with the following parameters: Weight/height index, triceps skin fold, arm muscle circumference, creatinine/height index, albumin, prealbumin, transferrin and cholinesterase. CSF proteins of 62 patients with SSPE aged 6 to 26 years were analysed by polyacrylamide gel electrophoresis.
