PURPOSE: Regev et al. first re-introduced the method of atraumatic tooth extraction with orthodontic elastics in 2008. Since then, the method has been mentioned regularly in literature. Nevertheless, the need for additional more detailed information remains.
METHODS: We present a review of literature and a retrospective analysis of our three patients receiving bisphosphonate medication. Two of our patients suffered from bisphosphonate-related osteonecrosis of the jaw (BRONJ). All three patients underwent atraumatic tooth extraction, which we describe in detail.

BACKGROUND: Metal stents are frequently used for palliation of malignant dysphagia. Recently, a new stent design, the partially covered Wallflex stent (Boston Scientific, Natick, Mass), has been introduced.
OBJECTIVE: To determine clinical effectiveness and safety of the esophageal Wallflex stent for the palliation of dysphagia.

We describe our experience with various silicone materials for making one-step and two-step impressions of the cleft-lip-palate-nose complex during nasoalveolar moulding. Our technique is superior to common alginate-based impression techniques, as it provides precise reproduction of the complex anatomy of the cleft, and is compatible with the latest available methods of planning treatment with nasoalveolar moulding, such as computer-aided reverse engineering and rapid prototyping.
