A new immobilisate of alcohol dehydrogenase (ADH) is described in which all components for the reaction, i.e. enzyme, the coenzyme NADP(+), the buffer and other cofactors (trace elements), are immobilized together. It is an all-inclusive catalyst. The support is a cheap, commercially-available, superabsorbent polymer. The immobilisation is easy to achieve. A novel series of pyridine-linked 2,2,5-trisubstituted 1,3,4-oxadiazole derivatives 4(a-o) was synthesized through conventional and microwave-assisted approaches using N-acylhydrazone intermediates derived from isoniazid and substituted acetophenones. In this work, a simple and mild process was used to synthesize a series of 2-amino-4,6-diarylpyrimidine derivatives, 1a-1q, whose structures were verified by FTIR, 1D- and 2D-NMR, and HRMS techniques, to investigate and develop anticancer agents. Solvent effects on the AIBN and ACVA forced degradation of cumene are explored. Pemphigus vegetans was diagnosed in a 12-year-old boy based on clinical, histopathological and immunohistological findings. To our knowledge, this is the first case of juvenile pemphigus vegetans to be published in the literature. Suggested treatment with prednisone and azathioprine was refused, and the patient was treated with a decoction of herbs prescribed by a practitioner of traditional Chinese herbal medicine. This treatment gave excellent results. Possible active components of the treatment are discussed.

We report the first two cases of allergic contact dermatitis from resacetophenone in a nail antifungal preparation. Patch tests gave positive reactions to resacetophenone (0.1% and 1% pet.). No cross-reactions with resorcinol or phenylethyl resorcinol were found. Patch testing with individual ingredients is paramount to diagnose new allergens.

The quality of water used in aquaculture ponds is one of the crucial factors influencing the smell and sensory properties of fish. The water samples were taken from the rainbow trout fish ponds from three different fish farms in three provinces in Türkiye in four different seasons.
