Intravenous leiomyomatosis is a rare disease from a group of tumors with the indefinite grading potential. The paper describes two cases of intravenous leiomyomatosis with its detailed morphological pattern, molecular genetic findings, and a brief literature review. We present a case of a middle-aged woman with a history of not only progressive nasal obstruction, facial pain, hyposmia and epistaxis, but also excision of the nasal mass diagnosed as a vascular leiomyoma. On examination, a smooth bulge was seen over the middle turbinate. Surgical excision along with histopathology and immunohistochemistry revealed a diagnosis of recurrent vascular leiomyoma of the middle turbinate.

Epithelioid angioleiomyoma (EALM) is rare in the skin and subcutaneous tissues. To the best of our knowledge, only two previous cases of this tumor have been reported. OBJECTIVE: This study was performed to analyze the clinical, radiographic, and pathological features of hand angioleiomyoma causing nerve compression and assess the outcomes of surgical excision.
METHODS: This case series included three men and one woman (mean age, 53.3 years; range, 49-56 years). The patients' chief complaint was numbness of the fingers. The patients' medical histories were reviewed, and the diagnosis of angioleiomyoma with nerve compression was confirmed by means of imaging examination and pathological analysis.

Angioleiomyoma is a benign, vascular smooth muscle tumor originating from the tunica media of the vessel wall. Angiomyofibroblastoma represents a rare, benign mesenchymal tumor with a predilection for the vulvovaginal region. Lipomatous change may occur but rarely comprises a substantial component of the lesion. There are only eight reports in the English language literature describing the lipomatous variant of this tumor. We describe a further lipomatous angiomyofibroblastoma that occurred on the labium majus of a 49-year-old woman. The histopathologic and immunohistochemical features are described, and the collective experience in the literature is reviewed.

BACKGROUND: The aim of the present study was to describe the clinical presentation, diagnostic work-up, surgical therapy, and prognosis of 13 patients with small bowel tumor admitted for surgical procedures in an emergency setting.
METHODS: From 1996 to 2008, 13 consecutive surgical cases of small bowel tumors were treated at the Cumhuriyet University Faculty of Medicine, Department of General Surgery, and Kütahya State Hospital, Department of General Surgery. Angioleiomyoma is a solitary form of leiomyoma that usually occurs as a painful subcutaneous lesion, with a predilection for the lower extremities of middle-aged women. In this report the case of an 11-year-old boy with angioleiomyoma mimicking giant cell tumor of the tendon sheath (GCTTS) in the palm is presented. After marginal excision of the tumor, histopathologic and immunohistochemical studies confirmed a typical case of angioleiomyoma and ruled out the preoperative diagnosis of GCTTS. There was no evidence of local recurrence at the 1-year follow-up examination.
