Lymphocytes were extracted from 11 biopsy specimens of oral lichen planus (OLP) by collagenase digestion, and cell lines were expanded with repetitive cycles of stimulation (with phytohaemagglutinin) and rest in media supplemented with interleukin 2. Four OLP lines contained a majority of CD3+CD4-CD8+ cells, in six lines the CD4:CD8 ratio was between 1 and 2, and in one line the CD4:CD8 ratio was 5:1. PURPOSE: Immune function imbalance is closely associated with the occurrence and development of infectious diseases. We studied the characteristics of changes in T-lymphocyte subsets and their risk factors in HIV-negative patients with active tuberculosis (ATB).

BACKGROUND/OBJECTIVES: Common Variable Immunodeficiency Disease (CVID) and other immunodeficiencies can present in subtle and variable ways. Whether or not a genetic lesion can be identified, there are not well understood biomarkers that quantitatively describe how severe a deficiency is. METHODS: The laboratory data between January 1, 2013 and February 1, 2023, for patients with chronic hepatitis B (CHB), and chronic hepatitis C (CHC) were extracted. PURPOSE: To date, few data are available on the prognostic role of lymphocyte subsets in pediatric Graves' Disease (GD). The aim of this retrospective study is to analyze the role of lymphocyte subtypes in predicting the severity of GD.
