Postcoital haemoperitoneum rarely occurs without evident vaginal injury. A 21-year-old second gravida woman presented to the ED in shock with a history of 8 weeks amenorrhoea and abdominal pain of 20 h duration. The ultrasound examination revealed a live intrauterine pregnancy and fluid in peritoneal cavity. There was a history of coitus 2 hours prior to the onset of pain. At laparotomy, more than 2 L of free blood was found in the peritoneal cavity. A small bleeding peritoneal vessel in pouch of Douglas was identified and ligated.

A total of 29 patients underwent 32 operations for correction of penile curvature. Of these patients 22 underwent placement of a semirigid prosthesis and 94 per cent of those available for followup were able to resume coitus. Of the 8 patients who underwent operative correction of penile curvature and who maintained potency only 3 (38 per cent) were able to resume intercourse. Vascular compromise and/or skin slough after degloving of the penile skin was noted in 3 patients. A proximal approach to penile reconstruction is presented.

A total of 191 patients have undergone post-coital insertion of an intrauterine contraceptive device up to ten days post-coitus. The majority of patients were nulliparous and underwent insertion of a standard Gravigard [Copper 7] device. The subsequent expulsion and medical removal rates were normal for this group of patients but the non-medical removal rates were higher. There was one possible post-coital contraceptive failure (0.6%) and one pregnancy at six months due to the device exhibiting a failure to conventional contraceptive action.

This article describes penile fracture and testicular rupture and offers recommendations for management. Both conditions occur most commonly after blunt trauma. Diagnosis can be supported by imaging but is usually confirmed on surgical exploration, which in both cases should be carried out promptly. In order to explore the sexual problems of chronic schizophrenics, 51 cases were investigated. The result showed that 42 cases (82.3%) had various kinds of sexual problems. The aim of the study is to assess the evidence on the efficacy and safety of dapoxetine in premature ejaculation (PE). The analysis includes results of randomized placebo-controlled trials, integrative reviews and one meta-analysis on the clinical efficacy and safety of dapoxetine. All studies have shown higher efficacy of dapoxetine in patients with PE compared with placebo.
