A novel wheelchair wheel rolling resistance clinical decision support system: stakeholders report high usability, perceived usefulness and value.

PURPOSE: The force required to propel a manual wheelchair can lead to repetitive strain injuries that reduce participation and quality of life. This force is primarily due to tire rolling resistance (RR), the energy loss from the tires in contact with the surface. A clinical decision support system (RightWheel) was developed to provide user-specific RR predictions to help select rear wheel and caster equipment. The objectives were to evaluate usability and perceived usefulness of RightWheel and obtain clinician feedback during an eight-week pilot launch study. METHODS: Clinicians were trained

Smartphone based clinical decision support system for early detection of neonatal jaundice using artificial intelligence with temporal convolutional network.

Physiological jaundice is present in the initial week of life in neonates owing to the rise in level of bilirubin thereby resulting in yellowish coloring of sclera and skin. Severe jaundice and lethal bilirubin levels may result from brain damage as bilirubin is located in the central nervous system. Present diagnostic techniques consist of time-consuming and a painful invasive blood test and non-invasive tests using expensive transcutaneous bilirubin meters. Then regular monitoring is important, numerous efforts are conducted to progress non-invasive devices for testing utilizing a smartphone

TCM-CoT-RAG: a chain-of-thought enhanced retrieval-augmented generation system for clinical decision support in Traditional Chinese Medicine rheumatology.

BACKGROUND: Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM) rheumatology presents unique challenges for AI-assisted clinical decision support, as the diagnostic process relies heavily on tacit knowledge and individualized reasoning. While Large Language Models (LLMs) have shown promise in medical applications, they remain limited by hallucination risks and inability to replicate expert TCM reasoning. Retrieval-Augmented Generation (RAG) offers a potential solution, yet its application to complex TCM dialectical reasoning remains underexplored. METHODS: We developed TCM-CoT-RAG, a hybrid framework combinin

PancDS in Real-World Practice: A Prospective Multicenter Validation of a Clinical Decision-Support System Bridging Experience Gaps in Pancreatic Lesion Diagnosis.

Distinguishing pancreatic ductal adenocarcinoma (PDAC) from mass-forming pancreatitis (MFP) is challenging due to imaging mimicry and reader-dependent variability. PancDS is developed as a biomimetic pancreatic decision-support system that integrates clinical predictors, a radiomics signature, and self-developed deep features (PANet). PancDS is enabled by TriFusionNet, an adaptive fusion strategy designed to emulate expert reasoning by dynamically reweighting modalities according to diagnostic relevance. In a retrospective multicenter cohort of 1006 consecutive patients with pathologically con

Prospective multicentre expert evaluation of an artificial intelligence-based oncology clinical decision support system across major cancer types in India.

INTRODUCTION: Cancer is a major public health challenge in India, with an estimated 1.4 million new cases each year. Despite this burden, the ratio of oncologists to new cancer patients is critically low, about one specialist per 1600 new diagnoses per year. The AI-driven CDSS could help offset the oncologist shortage in LMICs. OneRx.AI is an RAG platform grounded in international and national oncology guidelines. We evaluated its Expert-rated accuracy, clinical safety, Guideline concordance and decision impact, confidence, efficiency, and inter-rater reliability (IRR) in Indian practice. MET
