INTRODUCTION: Dry gangrene of the foreskin following corrective surgery for congenital penile curvature (CPC) or Peyronie's disease is extremely rare. It is noted as a consequence of intraoperative penile degloving.
AIM: We report one such case with its natural history presented by serial clinical pictures, discuss the management dilemmas, and review a rather scant relevant literature.

OBJECTIVES: Skin biopsies from local sites of herpes simplex virus 2 (HSV-2)-induced ulcers can show infiltrates of inflammatory cells several months after macroscopic healing. We hypothesise that foreskin tissue samples of asymptomatic HSV-2 seropositive men had remaining signs of inflammation at the molecular level. Even in the absence of clinical lesions, genital inflammation may contribute to increased HIV susceptibility on sexual exposure to the virus.

We present 10 cases of well-differentiated, squamous cell carcinoma of the penis with pseudohyperplastic features. At presentation, the median age was 69 years. Seven of the tumors were multicentric, and the majority preferentially involved the foreskin inner mucosal surface.
