Asthma prevalence is increasing in adult and paediatric patients. In the present study, the association between different leisure time activities and new onset of wheezing was analysed in adolescents aged 16-18 yrs taking part in a questionnaire-based follow-up of the International Study on Asthma and Allergies in Childhood in Munich and Dresden, Germany. We evaluated the outcome of acute shoulder hemiarthroplasty in 18 patients following displaced three- and four-part fractures of the proximal humerus. The mean age of the patients was 82 (70-92) years and the average follow-up time was 3.5 (2-7) years. No revision due to loosening was performed. The purpose of this study was to assess the longitudinal course of pigeon breeders' disease by evaluating 24 patients with the acute form of the disease 10 years after their original diagnosis. Most patients (95%) with fibular hemimelia have an absent anterior cruciate ligament (ACL). The purpose of this study was to assess the long-term outcome of such patients with respect to pain and knee function. Mycobacterium infections are increasingly reported in fish fanciers who keep an aquarium. Inoculation occurs on abraded skin after an incubation period of 2 to 3 weeks. Clinically papulo-nodules, ulcers or verrucous plaques develop. These may progress into sporotrichoid lesions or into deeper infections involving tendons and bone. Cultural identification is obtained by biopsy specimen at low temperature (30-33 degrees C). Faster identification may be performed by polymerase chain reaction. Histopathologic examination is characterized by a nonspecific inflammatory infiltrate in the acute phase.

This study aimed to explore the sources of happiness of individuals across different stages of their lives. A phenomenological study, which is a qualitative research approach, was designed. The sample consists of 129 participants (62 women, 67 men). Thematic analysis was conducted to analyze the data, and common themes were identified for each life stage. The analysis of the themes revealed that children and adolescents expressed the sources of happiness mostly through hedonic values, whereas individuals in middle adulthood and late middle age predominantly expressed them in eudaimonic values.
