The authors investigated 17 cases of follicular large cell lymphoma using monoclonal antibodies applied to frozen sections. The neoplastic cells in 11 cases (65%) showed evidence of immunoglobulin expression similar to the reported percentage of immunoglobulin expressing diffuse large cell lymphomas and lower than seen in low grade follicular lymphomas. All cases showed expression of the B lineage markers T015, B1, and 4G7, and HLA-DR. OBJECTIVE: To characterize the immunophenotypic profile of acute leukemias in the population of the state of Bahia, Brazil.
METHODS: This is a descriptive, retrospective study. From 2014 to 2018, 796 new cases of acute leukemia were evaluated. The data were obtained from analysis of reports and records of tests performed by flow cytometry immunophenotyping. All individuals of all age groups diagnosed as acute lymphoblastic leukemia or acute myeloid leukemia were included in the study. Demographic variables and expression of leukemia antigens were evaluated.

Cutaneous carcinoma of the scrotum is rare with the most common type being squamous cell carcinoma. Here, we report 6 cases of poorly differentiated carcinoma with apocrine immunophenotype. Mean age at presentation was 68 years (range: 31-91 years). Clinical presentation included eczematous rash over mass, scrotal cyst, ulcerated mass, and mass. Tumor size ranged from 1.2 to 5.5 cm (average 2.5 cm). Juvenile xanthogranuloma is the most common form of non-Langerhans cell histiocytosis in childhood. The clinical differential diagnosis of a solitary juvenile xanthogranuloma includes molluscum contagiosum, Spitz nevus, and melanoma. Lesions larger than 2 cm in diameter may be misdiagnosed as hemangiomas, but this is not typical of smaller juvenile xanthogranuloma. We report a case of solitary juvenile xanthogranuloma in a 10-year-old boy with angiomatous appearance and peculiar immunophenotype.

OBJECTIVES: To review clinical data, cytogenetic findings, and flow cytometric analysis in 20 patients with T-cell prolymphocytic leukemia (T-PLL), a rare, aggressive, mature T-cell leukemia with poor prognosis and short survival.

The aim was to investigate the immunophenotypes of NK series leukemia. We report 3 cases of lymphomatoid papulosis (LyP) with a CD56+, cytotoxic immunophenotype. All 3 patients presented with clinical histories typical of LyP, with one patient having associated mycosis fungoides. Histologically, two cases were type A LyP and one was type B. To gain more insight into the immunophenotypic and cytogenetic changes in acute leukaemia at relapse, 99 Korean patients treated at a single institution were studied: acute myelogenous leukaemia (AML, n=46), acute lymphoblastic leukaemia (ALL, n=44) and biphenotypic and mixed leukaemia (n=9).
