The influence of systemic application of chemically unrelated drugs and xenobiotics (phenobarbital (PB), rifampicin (Rifa), pregnenolone-16 alpha-carbonitrile (PCN) and 3-methylcholanthrene (MC) on drug metabolizing enzymes was investigated in the skin of rats of both sexes. The effect of prophylactic and therapeutic administration of BCG vaccine on growth of transplantable sarcomas induced by MSV-Harvey (MSVT1) and 3-methylcholanthrene (MC 11 and MC 12) in C57BL/10Sn mice was studied. Several rat liver cytochromes P-450 have been substantially purified in a one-step immunoadsorption procedure using Sepharose-bound monoclonal antibodies (MAbs) to the major forms of rat liver cytochrome P-450 induced by 3-methylcholanthrene and phenobarbital (MC-P-450 and PB-P-450, respectively).
