Metastases to inguinofemoral lymph nodes in patients with carcinoma of the vulva alter the prognosis and treatment of this disease. Aggressive angiomyxoma (AA) is a rare mesenchymal neoplasm occurring almost exclusively in the vulvovaginal region and which has a wide differential diagnosis. It has previously been suggested that the nuclear transcription factor HMGA2 is a useful marker of AA, although the number of studies is limited. A case of Legionnaires' disease is presented in which gram staining of impression smears from lung biopsy specimens showed Legionella pneumophila while other laboratory findings remained negative. OBJECTIVES: The cytomorphologic findings of bronchoalveolar lavage (BAL) in pediatrics were correlated with clinical symptoms.

Cytologic findings of glandular lesions of the cervix uteri are often difficult to evaluate.
