OBJECTIVES: Persistent otologic infections are common, yet microbiological data from primary care clinics remain limited. This study characterised culture findings in patients with persistent otologic symptoms.
METHODS: We conducted a retrospective case series at a primary care clinic in South Korea. Ear discharge cultures were reviewed in patients with symptoms lasting longer than one month and prior exposure to ototopical and/or systemic antibiotics.
