Sesamin, a natural lignan derived from Sesamum indicum, has been reported to possess anti-inflammatory and pro-apoptotic properties. However, its effect on T cell-mediated diseases and the underlying molecular mechanisms remain unclear. Perfluorooctanesulfonate (PFOS), a persistent organic pollutant, is closely related to liver diseases, with no effective therapies available. Botrytis cinerea, the causal agent of gray mold, can result in considerable preharvest and postharvest losses in many economically valuable plant species. Paracoccidioides brasiliensis is a pathogenic fungus capable of thermodimorphic transition, causing systemic mycoses in humans. Fludioxonil, a phenylpyrrole fungicide, inhibits this transition and affects genes related to fungal cell wall composition.
