Lymphoepithelial carcinoma is a relatively common malignancy in the nasopharynx, but it rarely occurs in other sites. We report 3 additional cases of cutaneous location. Histopathologically, the tumors consisted of multiple well-circumscribed dermal-hypodermal nodules composed of aggregates of undifferentiated malignant cells. These cells had moderate amounts of eosinophilic cytoplasm and vesicular nuclei with prominent nucleoli. There was no squamous or glandular differentiation. Morphea (localized scleroderma) is a disease of unknown etiology, presenting as circumscribed areas of indurated skin. Histologically, most cases of morphea feature thickened collagen bundles in the deep reticular dermis, sometimes also extending into the superficial dermis or into the subcutis. We report a case of adult xanthogranuloma arising on the labia majora of a 48-year-old female. Although histologically similar to juvenile xanthogranuloma, the clinical presentation and natural history are unique. To our knowledge this is the first case described of this rare histiocytic lesion arising in the vulva.

BACKGROUND: Histoid leprosy (HL) is a rare form of lepromatous leprosy, characterized by hyperchromic indurated nodules above normal skin. Its main histopathological aspect is spindle cells. Because it may simulate other aspects, such as dermatofibroma and neurofibroma, histoid leprosy poses itself as a diagnostic challenge.

BACKGROUND: Nephrogenic fibrosing dermopathy (NFD) clinically presents as indurated plaques and papules in patients with renal dysfunction. The differential diagnosis generally includes scleromyxedema (SMX), an idiopathic systemic disorder with cutaneous manifestations, in which patients also develop indurated papules and plaques. The two entities can be extremely difficult to distinguish microscopically. Histopathologic differences with immunophenotypic comparison, to our knowledge, have not been thoroughly studied. We compared these two entities with an emphasis on immunohistochemistry.

OBJECTIVE: We sought to describe the histopathologic and immunohistochemical features of scleromyxedema in a large series of patients.
METHODS: We studied all the cases with scleromyxedema diagnosed between 2000 and 2014 at participating centers. Sections with hematoxylin-eosin and special stains were examined. Immunohistochemistry for CD3, CD4, CD8, CD20, CD68, and factor XIIIa was performed in 10 cases.

AIMS: To describe the clinical and pathological features of 10 further cases of fibroblastic polyps (FP), a recently described, distinctive type of colorectal mucosal polyp.
