A 54-year-old woman who presented with photopsia was found to have elevated intraocular pressure in both eyes and optic disc cupping in the right eye. Angle infiltration was noted on gonioscopy. She was previously been diagnosed with metastatic breast cancer. This case report describes a rare case of glaucoma as a complication of ciliary body and iris metastases secondary to invasive ductal breast cancer.

A 63-year-old man developed hypotony due to a cyclodialysis cleft after suture fixation of a posterior chamber intraocular lens. Since medical management and argon laser photocoagulation were unsuccessful, a direct cyclopexy was performed. The intraocular pressure returned to normal postoperatively, and gonioscopy confirmed closure of the cleft. To our knowledge, this is the first case report of cyclodialysis complicating ciliary sulcus fixation of a posterior chamber lens.

INTRODUCTION: The iridocorneal angle is one of the major components of the eye. It constitutes the main pathway for aqueous humor resorption via the trabecular meshwork. The goal of this study was to investigate the iridocorneal angle in black patients and to determine any anatomical variants.
PATIENTS AND METHODS: This was a cross-sectional study with prospective data collection, enrolling black patients admitted to the ophthalmology departments of Burkina University Medical Centers, running from March to August 2021. The sample consisted of black patients aged 18 years or over.

PURPOSE: Vitiligo iridis refers to focal areas of iris atrophy as sequelae of small pox infection. We report a series of patients with unilateral vitiligo iridis, some of whom presented with secondary open-angle glaucoma.

OBJECTIVE: To describe the ocular ultrasound biomicroscopy (UBM) findings in patients with cystinosis.
METHODS: Six patients with infantile nephropathic cystinosis, aged 16 to 25 years, and 6 controls (matched for age and spherical refractive error) were examined clinically and with UBM. Scleral reflectivity, corneal and iris thickness, central anterior chamber depth, angle width, trabecular meshwork to ciliary process distance, and ciliary sulcus width were measured.

The tonographic results in the prospective study carried out by the authors showed that there is a two-phase reaction of the aqueous dynamics after cyclocryotherapy. In the first period, 1 to 3 weeks post-operatively, the aqueous flow decreases. Subsequently it recovers and almost reaches preoperative values. In this stage the outflow facility increases remarkably and is thus the main cause of the reduction in intraocular pressure. There is a close correlation between the changes in outflow and the widening of the chamber angle which can be seen by gonioscopy.

A 66-year-old African American man presented with episodic transient visual loss triggered by bending forward. The initial examination did not suggest intraocular pathology and the patient was nearly sent for vascular evaluation given his cardiovascular risk factors. Fundus photographs taken during an episode of visual loss suggested an intraocular process, however. Gonioscopy revealed a microhyphema causing a "snow globe" effect in the anterior chamber, most likely related to recent bleb manipulation in the affected eye.

PURPOSE: To report a case of angle-closure glaucoma in a 10-year-old girl with ocular albinism.
METHODS: Case report. A 10-year-old girl with autosomal recessive ocular albinism was examined and treated for subacute angle-closure glaucoma of the right eye.
RESULT: The patient was successfully treated with Nd:YAG laser iridotomy of the right eye.
CONCLUSIONS: Angle-closure glaucoma may rarely occur in young or adolescent children. Gonioscopy of children with shallow anterior chambers is recommended.

CASE REPORT: A middle-aged adult male was referred to our institution due to unilateral corneal edema for a possible corneal transplant. At first, the patient denied a history of trauma. A small foreign body, which had been overlooked by the primary ophthalmologist, was detected by gonioscopy, embedded in the anterior chamber angle. It was successfully surgically removed and visual results were good.
DISCUSSION: In any patient with unilateral unexplained corneal edema, it is necessary to rule out the presence of a foreign body in the anterior chamber.
