We reviewed 359 neoplasms of the preputial and clitoral glands of F344 rats to classify the different types of tumors, in relation to the normal anatomy and histology of the glands. Most tumors originated from the acinar or ductal cells; only one tumor originated from mesenchymal tissue. They were classified as adenomas, adenocarcinomas, squamous cell or basal cell carcinomas, and mixed cell carcinomas. Only one tumor metastasized to the lung.

Warthin's tumour is the second most common benign neoplasm to affect the salivary glands. It virtually affects the sole parotid gland. A sudden increase in a tumour's size is usually due to a malignant transformation of the tumour. 70 patients with squamous cell carcinoma of larynx and hypopharynx were examined by computed tomography; the TNM staging of tumors by CT, by endoscopy and by surgical operation was reviewed. CT proved to be reliable both to recognize the presence of neoplasms, with the exception of those very superficial, and their deep spreading to pre-epiglottic and para-laryngeal spaces, to the soft tissues of the neck and to the cartilages. Therefore CT is the examination of choice in laryngeal neoplasms staging, because it precisely completes the clinical and endoscopical informations.

A series of skin cancers are more frequent or show a worse course and outcome in HIV-treated patients. The leading neoplasms correspond to basal and squamous cell carcinomas, some primary cutaneous lymphomas and malignant melanomas. In these patients, early diagnosis and radical treatment on sight should be considered.

It is accepted that immunosuppressant therapy after organ transplantation is associated with an increase risk of neoplasm. Subungual squamous cell carcinoma of the toe is a rare condition and has not previously been reported, to our knowledge, in patients undergoing immunosuppressant therapy. The objective of this case study is to report the clinical and histopathologic findings and the multidisciplinary treatment approach for a case of subungual squamous cell carcinoma of the toe in an organ transplant recipient undergoing immunosuppressant drug therapy.

Warthin's tumor is the second most common benign neoplasm of the parotid gland. Epithelial malignant transformation of Warthin's tumor, especially to squamous cell carcinoma, is a rare event. The authors present a case report of a 57-year-old male patient with a mass in the left parotid gland. This paper documents the appearance of squamous cell carcinoma within Warthin's tumor of the left parotid gland and reviews the other similar features of 12 cases.

We report on a 56-year-old renal allograft recipient receiving cyclosporin A immunosuppression. During this therapy he subsequently developed the following cutaneous neoplasms: squamous cell carcinomas, basal cell carcinomas, Bowen's disease, actinic keratosis, sebaceous hyperplasia, a dysplastic naevus and, finally a nodular malignant melanoma. Adverse effects of the cyclosporin A therapy are discussed, with special reference to dermatologic effects and the implications for patient and doctor.

Malignant neoplasm of the penis is a rare cancer in industrialized countries but is not uncommon in India. Nearly 95% of penile cancer is squamous cell carcinoma. Malignant neoplasms of the sebaceous glands, which are mostly confined to the head and neck region, are even rarer. We present a 74-year-old male with sebaceous cell carcinoma of the penis. He underwent excision of the primary lesion with bilateral inguinal lymph node dissection followed by adjuvant chemotherapy.
