The study was undertaken with the objective of observing operational aspects of 609 pulse polio booths established during Intensified Pulse Polio Campaign in East Delhi on National Immunisation Days (NID) during 2001-2002 through well designed format. The average number of persons present on duty at polio booths was 3.73 against a recommendation of 4 per booth. BACKGROUND: Health outcomes are improved when newborn babies with critical congenital heart defects (CCHDs) are detected before acute cardiovascular collapse. The main screening tests used to identify these babies include prenatal ultrasonography and postnatal clinical examination; however, even though both of these methods are available, a significant proportion of babies are still missed. Urethral Pressure Profilometry (UPP) is a tool in the diagnosis of urinary incontinence. The pressure profile along the urethra is measured by a special catheter in order to assess the contraction strength of the sphincter muscle. The use of microtip catheters with several pressure sensors and an integrated acceleration sensor enables signal reconstruction of the pressure distribution on the urethra's inside.
