Two cases of contact allergy to lidocaine are reported. They also reacted to chemically related anesthetics of the amide type: one to bupivacaine, mepivacaine and prilocaine and the other to mepivacaine only. The patients also reacted to the chemically nonrelated cincaine, an anesthetic of the ester type. The lidocaine metabolites o-toluidine and mxylidine gave negative reactions.

The use of generic specialty medications amongst individuals with multiple sclerosis (MS) has expanded due to an increase in the number of available agents. We describe a woman who was denied continued use of brand name teriflunomide (AubagioⓇ), despite being clinically stable for 2.5 years, and switched to generic teriflunomide. She experienced a significant spinal cord exacerbation within a few months of starting treatment. A rapid air titration method for determining SO2 concentration in inhalation chambers has been validated using the pararosaniline-formaldehyde (PRA) method of West and Gaeke. This air-titration (iodate) method is an adaptation of iodometric methods using a starch indicator. Potassium iodate and an excess of potassium iodide are used in the reaction. The efficacy of amitraz on cattle ticks was assessed by susceptibility tests, spraying and dipping trials. Fifty-two dogs naturally parasitized with Demodex canis and having the generalized form of the disease were utilized to evaluate the efficacy and safety of single or multiple topical treatments with a liquid concentrate formulation of amitraz. OBJECTIVE: To construct the tissue culture model in vitro, and investigate the potential of dental pulp fibroblast differentiating into the odontoblast and the promoting role of transforming growth factor beta1 (TGF-beta1) on it.

Undemineralized methacrylate embedded bone biopsies and other bone specimens can be processed much more rapidly by application of acidified 2,2-dimethoxypropane (DMP) dehydration, which requires two hours, than by traditional graded ethanol dehydration, which requires at least four days.
