Evaluation of Mental Workload in Working Memory Tasks with Different Information Types Based on EEG.

To explore the effectiveness of using Electro- encephalogram (EEG) spectral power and multiscale sample entropy for accessing mental workload in different tasks, working memory tasks with different information types (verbal, object and spatial) and various mental loads were designed based on the N-Back paradigm. Subjective scores, accuracy and response time were used to verify the rationality of the tasks. EEGs from 18 normal adults were acquired when tasks were being performed, an independent component analysis (ICA) based artifact removal method were applied to get clean data. Linear (relati

Work productivity after periacetabular osteotomy was affected by preoperative progression of osteoarthritis and heavy workload.

INTRODUCTION: Many patients who have undergone a periacetabular osteotomy (PAO) for developmental dysplasia of the hip (DDH) have had jobs preoperatively. Postoperative return to work and work productivity are important for livelihood security and the social economy. However, there is a lack of evidence on work productivity after PAOs. Therefore, this study investigated the return to work rates and influence of workload, clinical, and radiographic parameters on work productivity after a curved PAO. MATERIALS AND METHODS: In this study, the data of 68 hip joints among 48 participants who under

Exercise training workloads in cardiac rehabilitation are associated with clinical outcomes in patients with heart failure.

BACKGROUND: In patients with coronary heart disease, the exercise workload (i.e., metabolic equivalents of task, METs) at which patients exercise train upon entry and completion of cardiac rehabilitation (CR) are independently related to prognosis. Unknown is the association between exercise training workloads in CR and clinical outcomes in patients with heart failure (HF). METHODS: Patients with HF who participated in an early outpatient CR program were used in this retrospective analysis. Exercise workloads upon entry and completion of CR were converted to METs. The primary outcome was all-
