This systematic review analyzed effectiveness of resin sealants in arresting caries lesions in the outer 1/3 of dentin compared to restorations in deciduous/permanent teeth. Seven databases were searched for randomized clinical trials (December/2024), considering the outcomes "caries progression", "material retention", "tertiary dentin formation", with a minimum 6 months follow-up. Risk of bias was assessed with RoB 2; meta-analysis used risk difference as effect measure in random effects model and Cochran Q test / I2 statistics for heterogeneity; GRADE assessed the evidence certainty. Dental resin composites are widely used for direct restorations, yet their longevity remains limited by biofilm accumulation and secondary caries at the tooth-restoration interface. Unlike previous reviews that have primarily organized antibacterial dental materials according to antimicrobial agents or mechanisms, this narrative review evaluates antibacterial resin composites from a polymer-composite design perspective, integrating molecular architecture, network immobilization, filler-matrix interactions, polymerization, and aging. Leachable agents such as chlorhexidine provide early antibact

BACKGROUND: Photon radiotherapy (RT) is widely used in the management of head and neck cancer (HNC) and may affect dental restorative materials. However, limited evidence is available regarding its effects on nanohybrid resin composite (RC) restorations. This research aimed to assess the impact of photon radiation treatment on microleakage (ML) and microhardness (MH) of nanohybrid RC restorations.
METHODS: A total of 54 samples were randomly divided into three groups (18 sample each): a control group (non-irradiated) and two RT groups exposed to 50 Gy (Gy) and 70 Gy of photon radiation. The r

BACKGROUND CONTEXT: There has been a tremendous leap in resin composite technology over the last two decades. "The rapid pace of product development means that detailed clinical data on individual materials are often limited, even when improved versions are regularly introduced". This clinical investigation examined the effectiveness of a recently created resin composite for back teeth, which is universal supra-nano spherical filled, using revised United States Public Health Service (USPHS) standards.
AIMS: In order to conduct a clinical evaluation and comparison of two resin composites - Omn
