AIM: To study efficiency and safety of berodual in solution for inhalations delivered with the help of nebulizer in patients with exacerbation of chronic bronchitis (CB).
MATERIALS AND METHODS: 12 patients with chronic bronchitis who had not responded to oral methylxantines in combination with expectorants received berodual for 10 days (1 ml 3 times a day).
RESULTS: In the course of berodual treatment all the CB symptoms relieved and external respiration function improved.
CONCLUSION: Berodual is effective as monotherapy of chronic obstructive bronchitis.

A twin pregnancy is reported in which a prolonged interval between delivery of twins was accomplished by the use of labor-inhibiting drugs and the placement of a cerevical cerclage. Infants weighting 690 and 1192 g were delivered from a mother with a normal uterus at 27 and 31 weeks' gestation, with survival of the second twin. Pathologic and sonographic findings in the case, philosophies of its management, and a review of the medical literature are presented. The case is apparently unique to obstetric literature.

Experience is described of that gained with the use in a clinical setting of Ditec and Lasolvan as a monotherapy and combined in the treatment of pediatric patients with bronchial asthma who ranged from 1 to 14 years old. A combined therapy with Ditec and Lasolvan was found out to be highly effective; besides, it was well-tolerated by patients. The efficacy of the combination appeared to be superior to monotherapy with the above drugs.
