Senescence is a key pathomechanism across chronic diseases but also highly heterogeneous. In this study, we demonstrate that high-content imaging and transcriptomics can jointly shed light on senescence in vitro, distinguishing replicative and chemically induced senescence, differentiating from quiescence and characterizing the senolytic response.

Testing the lead content of new paints is important to inform governments of the potential hazard in countries that have yet to ban or regulate the lead content of these products. This study included a sample of paints for automotive, metal primer, architectural enamel, and road-marking applications in Mexico. We report a case of atypical cerebellar infarction following accidental inhalation of toluene mixed paint. An unconscious 57-year-old housewife with hypertension arrived at our emergency department by ambulance. She had been rescued from a basement (30 m3) 12 h after exposure to paint containing toluene (34%). On arrival, she was comatose (E1V1M1) with a mild fever (37.4 °C).
