A rare and interesting alteration--hyperplasia of Brunner's glands--is reported. In 18 cases hyperplasia of Brunner's glands were verified by endoscopy and histology as well. Frequency of occurance, clinical characteristics, X-ray symptoms of the hyperplasia of the Brunner's glands and the radiological methods of its diagnosis are described. Importance of the aimed X-ray film, carried out by Spot-filmkamera and of graded compression is emphasized. Differential diagnosis between polypoid hypertrophic duodenitis and hyperplasia of Brunner's glands are discussed in detail.

We have constructed compensating screens which have different sensitivities for the pulmonary hilum and mediastinum in contrast to the lung. With these screens the regions of the mediastinal and retrocardiac areas are simultaneously displayed with optimal contrast on postero-anterior (PA) chest radiographs. ZnFe2O4 thin films are successfully deposited onto bare and fluorine doped tin oxide (FTO) coated quartz substrate using the spray pyrolysis method. The structure and morphology of ZnFe2O4 photoelectrodes were studied by X-ray diffraction (XRD) and atomic force microscopy (AFM). Three zinc(II) complexes based on 1-phenyl-3-methyl-4-acyl-5-pyrazolone were synthesized and characterized by elemental analysis, by X-ray crystallography and spectroscopy (UV-vis, fluorescence and IR). The X-ray films of 40 patients with thoracolumbar fractures were studied in order to classify the fractures, to investigate the causes of neural compression, and to define which fractures were unstable. OBJECTIVE: To evaluate the roles of diagnosing intraocular foreign body (IOFB) and their complications with CT, B-scan, X-ray film, MRI and UBM.
METHODS: Retrospective study of 103 clinic inpatient cases.
RESULTS: CT showing rate was 100% (103/103), CT scan could identify positions of high density IOFB, and define metal or non-metal. But for the size and shape of metal IOFB, the low density IOFB and complications of IOFB, the showing rate was lower. We report 100 cases in which a tension-band technique was used to secure fixation of avulsion fractures within the digits. Included are 51 bony mallet fractures that were subluxed or irreducible, 38 displaced bony gamekeeper's fractures of the thumb, 8 fractures of the lateral phalangeal base, and 3 avulsion fractures that involved the base of the dorsal aspect of the middle phalanx. Perovskite SrSnO3 (SSO) thin films were epitaxially grown on LaAlO3 (001) substrates by pulsed laser deposition at various oxygen pressures. Thymic cyst is relatively rare disease among mediastinal tumors. We reported two cases of surgical resected thymic cysts. A 39 year-old woman with a tumor shadow in the right upper mediastinum noticed by chest x-ray examination of mass survey was presented. Chest x-ray films taken 5 times in a month in a same position showed the mass further changed in size. This result indicates the communication between the mass and pericardial cavity. Surgical extirpation was carried out and diagnosed a pericardial diverticulum.
