BACKGROUND: One potential concern with using mailed surveys containing trauma-related content is the possibility of re-traumatizing survivors without a trained mental health professional present. Prior research provides insufficient guidance regarding the prevalence and magnitude of this risk because the psychological harms of trauma-related surveys have typically been estimated using single post-test observations. Post-test observations cannot quantify magnitude of change in participants' emotional states and may over or under estimate associations between participants' characteristics (risk

STUDY DESIGN: Systematic review and meta-analysis.
OBJECTIVE: To conduct a meta-analysis of high-level prospective evidence studies evaluating changes in Visual Analogue Scale (VAS), SI joint pain scores, Oswestry Disability Index (ODI) outcomes, and adverse events (SAE) requiring an additional operation.
SUMMARY OF BACKGROUND DATA: Low back pain is a leading cause of disability, and the sacroiliac joint (SIJ) is implicated as a primary pain generator in up to 25% of cases. However, SIJ-mediated pain is difficult to diagnose, and is often one of exclusion confirmed by diagnostic injections.

INTRODUCTION: Multiple Sclerosis (MS) can affect the ability to perform complex tasks such as driving. The Expanded Disability Status Scale (EDSS) overlooks cognitive deficits crucial for driving. We investigated the relationship between the Multiple Sclerosis Functional Composite (MSFC), which includes cognitive assessment, and EDSS in relation to driving performance.
METHODS: This exploratory study involved 30 MS patients (mean EDSS 2.4 ± 2.0) and 15 healthy controls. We correlated the results of the EDSS, MSFC, and driving performance tests, namely the Two-Hand Coordination Test (2HAND) an

Children with learning disability (LD), intellectual disability (ID), attention-deficit/hyperactivity disorder (ADHD), and autism spectrum disorder (ASD) reported higher risk of being bullied compared to their peers. Controlling for the co-morbidity of different diagnosis is important in investigating the frequency of bullying. Therefore, this study aimed to investigate the pathway relationship of adolescents' psychiatric diagnoses, including LD, ID, ADHD, ASD, with being bullied, their self-perceived psychological well-being (PWB) and social adaptation status (SAS) in 12-years-olds.The Taiwan

BACKGROUND AND OBJECTIVES: Hematoma expansion (HE), an increase in bleeding into the brain, is a modifiable cause of disability and death after intracerebral hemorrhage (ICH). Some specialized hemostatic biomarkers are associated with HE. Widely available hemostatic biomarkers could improve our understanding of HE and lead to targeted treatments.
METHODS: We conducted a multicenter, prospective, cohort study of patients with spontaneous ICH between 2019 and 2023 at 6 medical centers across the United States. Patients with an initial CT scan within 12 hours of symptom onset were enrolled. All

Neurologists with disabilities remain underrepresented in the US physician workforce despite decades of legal protections mandating accommodation. Although the Americans with Disabilities Act provides a statutory framework, graduate medical education programs frequently lack structured, operational processes to implement accommodations in residency training. In this case study, a neurology program director and resident-both physicians with spinal cord injuries-describe how they adapted a neurology residency to support equivalent training while preserving educational rigor and patient safety.
