A case of dichorionic twin pregnancy was diagnosed in a 29-year-old, on routine ultrasound at 12 weeks. Subsequent ultrasounds for persistent vaginal bleeding at 16 weeks revealed molar placenta with viable fetus in both gestational sacs. The patient declined any invasive prenatal testing to confirm the karyotype of the fetus. The pregnancy was managed expectantly until 21 weeks, when she had a spontaneous abortion of twin fetuses and separate placentae with attached molar tissue. The common marmoset, Callithrix jacchus, is used as a New World monkey species in biomedical studies because of its small body size and good reproduction in captivity. A modified artificial insemination technique was developed in this species to encourage breeding of lines carrying interesting genes and traits. Fresh semen was collected by penile vibratory stimulation. Medium containing highly motile sperm was inseminated into the uterus using a catheter. Seven females were inseminated using freshly prepared sperm from different males every day for 3 days including the expected ovulation day.

OBJECTIVE: The objective of the present study was to evaluate adverse perinatal outcome in a group of high order pregnancies pared with singletons by BW and GA at birth.
METHODS: Data was reviewed for all admissions of triplets and quadruplets in a 7 year period. For each study neonate we selected two singleton infants to constitute a control group. Variables analyzed included: respiratory distress syndrome, patent ductus arteriosus, intraventricular hemorrhage, necrotizing enterocolitis (NEC), bronchopulmonary dysplasia, retinopathy of prematurity and periventricular leukomalacia.

BACKGROUND: This study aimed to outline the clinical physiognomy of maternal morbidity in multiple pregnancies in order to improve maternal and feto-neonatal.
METHODS: We reviewed the admissions to Department B of the Gynecology and Obstetrics Clinic at Turin University during the decade 1989-1998. Out of 17,445 pregnancies, we noted a 205 multiple pregnancies (1.17%), including 199 sets of twins, 5 triplets and 1 quadruplets. The percentages for the incidence of the various forms of maternal morbidity were compared to a control group of 1000 single births.
