BACKGROUND: Etoposide, ifosfamide, and cisplatin (VIP) are each active in treating pediatric solid tumors, and this combination has been shown to be effective in treating adult germ cell tumors. BACKGROUND: Rhabdomyosarcoma (RMS) is the most common soft-tissue sarcoma in children and adolescents, but primary RMS of the breast is exceptionally rare and diagnostically challenging.
