The dissipation kinetics, pre-harvest residue limits, and hazard quotient (HQ) assessments of the pesticides flubendiamide and fluopicolide were conducted for Korean melon (Cucumis melo L. var. makuwa) cultivated at two different sites. A single extraction and cleanup procedure was carried out using acetone (partitioned with dichloromethane) and amino solid-phase extraction cartridges, respectively. Mpox is a zoonotic disease endemic to Central and West Africa. Since 2022, two human-adapted monkeypox virus (MPXV) strains have caused large outbreaks outside these regions. We assessed tecovirimat treatment equity for 3,740 mpox patients in New York, New York, USA, during the 2022 mpox emergency; 32.4% received tecovirimat. Treatment rates by race/ethnicity were 38.8% (White), 31.3% (Black/African American), 31.0% (Hispanic/Latino), and 30.1% (Asian/Pacific Islander/other). Future public health emergency responses must prioritize institutional and structural racism mitigation.

Infiltration galleries are among the oldest known means used for small public water fountains. Owing to its ancestral origin they are usually associated with high quality water. Thirty-one compounds, including pesticides and estrogens from different chemical families, were analysed in waters from infiltration galleries collected in Alto Douro Demarcated Wine region (North of Portugal).
