The novel continuous cell line WT-Pe.1 was established in vitro from Wilms tumor with histological features of diffuse anaplasia. This study describes the clinicopathologic features of 13 cases with pineal parenchymal tumors. Histological anaplasia, found in up to 10% of meningiomas, is an important prognostic sign as it is associated with increased recurrence rate and volume growth rate. A retrospective nationwide evaluation of primary fallopian tube carcinomas for a period of 10 years (1980-1990) was performed to evaluate the prognostic impact of various factors. The correlations between cytogenetic and histopathological findings were analyzed in 75 human meningiomas. The tumors were classified according to increasing degrees of anaplasia into three grades: Grade I, benign; Grade II, atypical; Grade III, anaplastic. A total of 301 female and 133 male Cebus monkeys have been placed under study during a 3-year period. Females are inoculated intradermally into the cervix every 6 months; 225 receive virus and 76 receive control material. We describe two cases of central neurocytoma that did not show histopathologic features of anaplasia but did show tumor dissemination after surgery and radiation therapy. PURPOSE: Meningiomas are mainly benign tumors, though a considerable proportion shows aggressive behaviors histologically consistent with atypia/anaplasia. Histopathological grading is usually assessed through invasive procedures, which is not always feasible due to the inaccessibility of the lesion or to treatment contraindications. The mitotic regime in 362 human tumours of different genesis was studied by the same technique. The data obtained were compared with the histological structure of the tumours and the degree of thier anaplasia.
