Data on sessilinasis from Procambarus clarkia are limited. This study investigates sessilid diversity in Hubei Province, China in 2016. Procambarus clarkia pereopods were covered by two sessilid morphotypes in April and May, and the gills were adhered by one of these two morphotypes (morphotype I) in January. Apostome ciliates from crayfish and freshwater shrimp in southern and central Alabama were surveyed in this study. Hyalophysa bradburyae was found on both crayfish and shrimp from 16 sites in eight drainages. Many peritrich ciliates are parasites of, or epibionts on, aquatic animals. Among them, the genera Ambiphrya and Apiosoma are common fish ectocommensals in aquacultures. A redescription of Zoothamnium intermedium Precht, 1935, a peritrich epibiont on copepods, is provided using specimens colonizing Acartia tonsa and Eurytemora affinis in Chesapeake Bay, USA. A suctorian ciliate Loricophrya bosporica sp. nov. is described from the body surface of nematodes of genus Desmoscolex collected in oxic/anoxic boundary of the Bosporus outlet area of the Black Sea. The new species differs from relative species L. sivertseni by development of its body, which takes no more than half, or a third of the lorica length, absence of crown-like projections at the lorica edge as for adhesive disk. From L. tuba new species differs by considerably shorter stylotheca and prevalence to nematode host instead of echinoderms.

Two cases of therapy-resistant fluorine are reported in which Balantidium coli from the class of the cilia (Ciliophora, Ciliata, Infusoria) was identified. The parasites infesting pigs and pig farmers on family farms in Rio de Janeiro city, Brazil, were analyzed, and extension activities were carried out to impart information about parasites.
