Expert Clinical Panel Member for a Research Study: A Role for the Advanced Practice Registered Nurse.

The role of advanced practice nurses (APRNs) continues to evolve, meeting the complex needs of today's healthcare systems while shaping the future of the nursing. APRNs provide holistic, patient-centered care that improves access to quality services. Beyond clinical practice, they serve as educators, mentors, and collaborators on interprofessional teams to enhance outcomes. This manuscript highlights a less-recognized role for APRNs: involvement on clinical expert panels of research studies. It describes the multifaceted contributions of APRNs on an interdisciplinary clinical expert panel of N

Application and translational research of magnesium in nursing care of orthopedic diseases: from mechanism to clinical translation.

Magnesium is an essential bioactive ion that plays a central role in skeletal physiology. However, its contributions to bone biology and orthopedic practice are only beginning. Beyond its structural incorporation into bone mineral, magnesium dynamically regulates osteoblast and osteoclast function through signaling networks, including PI3K/Akt, TRPM, and the OPG/RANKL/RANK axis. Disruption of magnesium homeostasis has been increasingly implicated in osteoporosis, delayed fracture healing, and other skeletal pathologies. Concurrently, the emergence of biodegradable magnesium-based biomaterials

Exploration of Factors That Influence Clinical Nurses' Active Engagement in Research and Evidence-Based Practice: Protocol for a Scoping Review.

BACKGROUND: Nurses rely on current and relevant evidence to provide safe, high-quality care to patients and families. To do this, nurses need support to participate in research and evidence-based practice (EBP) activities. Despite the well-documented benefits of nurses' engagement in research and EBP, few actually do so in the clinical setting. This creates a knowledge-to-practice gap in which nursing evidence is not generated and existing evidence is often not applied in practice, jeopardizing the quality of care and patient outcomes. OBJECTIVE: The aim of this scoping review is to identify

Comprehensive hypertension care in young urban black men: an example of a program of nursing research that integrates genetic science, clinical interventions, and patient outcomes.

Black Americans have the highest rate of hypertension in the world. The well-known consequences of this condition include stroke, heart failure, and renal disease. The causes, care, and control of hypertension, especially among the underserved and understudied group of young urban black men, require more comprehensive models of health care delivery and an understanding of the gene-gene and gene-environment interactions influencing blood pressure.

Bridging the academic-clinical gap: a comparative cross-sectional analysis of self-reported evidence-based practice engagement and associated research activity between fourth-year nursing students and interns.

BACKGROUND: Evidence-based practice (EBP) is a core competency in contemporary nursing; however, the academic-to-clinical transition represents a critical period during which self-reported EBP engagement and associated research activity may diverge. Limited evidence exists on how these characteristics differ between senior nursing students and clinical interns within the same single-institution educational context. METHODS: A comparative cross-sectional, between-group study was conducted among 260 undergraduate nursing learners at Northern Border University, Saudi Arabia, comprising 118 fourt
