60 cases of mid-trimester pregnancy were terminated using endocervical PGE2 gel (for achieving cervical priming) followed by serial intramuscular injections of carboprost. In this prospective study, 56 cases were multiparae with gestational age varying between 15-22 weeks. The induction-abortion-interval was 8.4h ± 0.8h with a success rate of 100%. A fast and simple biotech method is presented for the simultaneous isolation and purification of transferrin (Tf) and immunoglobulin G (IgG) from the same pool-sample of human serum, yielding >98% pure proteins. The dynamics of the DNA binding with rivanol-SO2 in lymphocytes stimulated with phytohemagglutinin is investigated in women with normal and complicated pregnancy. It is established that the ability to bind rivanol-SO2 by DNA in the women with a habitual abortion and a threat of pregnancy interruption is reduced in lymphocytes under a 72-hour cultivation as compared with a 24-hour one. This phenomenon was not observed in women with a physiological course of pregnancy.
